Winners of the $500.00 Book Scholarship are... Kristin Chamberlain and Steven Brinkley

The Central MD Parents Club Book Scholarship Committee met for the first time to review and select two winners for the "Annual $500.00 Book Scholarship(s). The Committee met for several hours to review forty fascinating, thought-provoking, well-written, tough to decide scholarship applications received from students in the Central MD area. Congratulations go out to Ms Kristin Chamberlin and Mr. Steven Brinkley! Kristin is a rising sophomore scholar with a 3.9 GPA pursuing a degree in Music Education. Her educational goals, career objectives, leadership qualities, community involvement and academic awards were succinctly described and beat Steven by 1 point in the scoring! Steven, also a rising sophomore with a 3.63 GPA, is a cadet in the Air Force ROTC program at WVU and has an outstanding array of leadership and community involvement and a clear goal to become a Criminologist after graduation. Congratulations again, and we will present your awards at Summer Send-off on 2 August at the Hawthorn Center in Columbia MD.

The committee looks forward to next years application pool and wishes all of our Central MD students the best in their academic pursuits.
